KBIS have sponsored within British Riding Clubs (BRC) for a number of years, having previously sponsored the festival of the horse and the hunter trial championships we are delighted to be the title sponsors of the BRC Novice Winter Championships for the third year running.
British Riding Clubs play a vital role for amateur riders, through over 430 clubs and 50 training centres across the UK, they offer a range of events, training and competitions, as well as encouragement and support for the happy hacker up to the dedicated competitor. It also provides club members with the opportunity to meet like minded people in their area, as well as the chance to take part in team competitions.
The KBIS Novice Winter Championships, which incorporates both dressage and indoor showjumping, are team championships, open to both senior and junior teams comprising of four members. In the dressage competition two members must ride a prelim test and two a novice test. The showjumping is set at a height of 80cm in the first round, increasing to 85cm in round two, in the event of a tie in the placings competitors will then go forwards to a jump off.
Forty-one qualifying shows are run throughout the country from November through to the beginning of March ready for the Championships, which will be held on the 1st - 2nd April at The College Equestrian Centre, Keysoe
