At KBIS we try to cater for all horse owners, from those with a woolly pony retired in the field to owners with a number of high-value competition horses.

You can choose from three policies, our Leisure Horse, Competition Horse or Sports Horse Insurance, each is designed to cover different needs.

Our Leisure Horse Insurance policy offers cover for horses up to the age of 30 years with vets fees ranging from accidental, external injuries only (open wounds) to full vets fees at £5,000 per incident with an increase to £7,500 for colic surgery along with complimentary treatments and hospitalization costs (available for horses up to the age of 16 years old).

Our Competition Horse Insurance policy offers cover for those competing at a higher level as well as those looking for a higher level of vets fess cover. There are more comprehensive vets fees included within the competition policies and they offer £6,000 per incident with an increase to £7,500 for colic surgery along with complimentary treatments and hospitalization costs (available for horses up to the age of 16 years old).

Our Sports Horse Insurance policies offer cover for horses valued above £20,000 and those competing and training abroad. Within this, you can choose to cover vets fees for up to £5,000 or £10,000 within the policy period.

For those not looking to cover their horse’s mortality or have cover for full veterinary fees we offer the KBIS Catastrophe Cover, this policy costs just £300 and covers accidental external injuries, colic surgery, joint and tendon sheath flushing and surgery for fractured pastern and pedal bones.

Along with mortality and vet fee insurance, we can cover public liability, personal accident, tack and a trailer.
