KBIS X-Ray Requirements

KBIS X-Ray Requirements

If you are looking to take out insurance for Permanent Loss of Use then, depending on your horse's value, cover may be subject to specific x-ray requirements.

X-rays are required if your horse's market value/purchase price is £10,000 or above, regardless of the sum you are insuring him for.

It is important that the x-rays taken are to the exact specification as set out below and that both front shoes are removed. The x-rays must be dated with the horse's name on each image.

If you are unsure about any of the requirements set out below then please contact the office and we will be happy to clarify the requirements for your horse.

Please note in some circumstances additional x-rays may be required of which you will be notified.
