KBIS Mountain and Moorland Intermediate Working Hunter Pony
The NPS (National Pony Society) Intermediate Mountain and Moorland Working Hunter Pony Championships, which has been supported by KBIS since 2010 , is one of the most popular classes for grass roots riders.
The class is designed as a starting point for fully registered Mountain and Moorland ponies that have never gained a qualification for the Horse of the Year Show or the Royal International Show.
The class is divided into three sections according to the pony’s height:
Section One – for those ponies not exceeding 122cms.
Section Two – for those ponies between 122cms and 138cms.
Section Three – for those ponies between 138cms and 148cms
There are 38 qualifying shows in total each carrying the title KBIS NPS Mountain and Moorland Intermediate Working Hunter Pony. Those who qualify will then go through to compete at the Championships in August, which takes place at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern.
KBIS was keen to get involved with a showing series that provide those riders new to affiliated showing a great opportunity in which to compete against ponies at a similar level and experience. As one of the leading competitions at its level the NPS Mountain and Moorland Intermediate Working Hunter Pony series provided the perfect opportunity and we are very much looking forward to our involvement with the class over the next few years.
