Jennie Lambert-Gibbs and KBIS Zavir

Jennie and Zavir, known as Chav at home, have a very envious competition record having been consistently placed in the top two in their outings so far this year.

 

Jennie has been working for KBIS for just over three years and stables Chav at the KBIS offices which are based in Peasemore just outside of Newbury. Jennie purchased Chav as a 3 year old and has produced him herself with the help of her trainer Robert Lumb and a very supportive family consisting of her Dad who is chief lorry driver, mum who is head groom and sister Sarah who acts as travelling groom!

 

Now 7 years old Chav took the Reserved Champion title at the Petplan Equine Novice Restricted Area Festival in 2010 and then came eighth in the Elementary Restricted at the National Championships. Having spent the winter training and working towards more advanced movements, such as piaffe and passage, they are hoping to progress to Medium level in 2011,with the aim of qualifying at this level for this years Nationals.

 

 

Jennie and Chav are also part of the Young Rider Under 25 team and in 2010 went to Ireland to compete in the Under 25 Championships. Not only were they part of the winning team but they were also the Young Rider Novice Champion, after three wins and a second, gaining over 70% in each test.

 

Although Chav knows his job in the ring he isn't the easiest to handle on the ground and standing at 17.1 most people tend to give his stable a bit of a wide berth! However he more than makes up for his little quirks on the ground when it matters.
