LEADING equestrian insurance company Kbis is once again running a
scholarship scheme which will be searching for the Kbis Scholar of
2006.It is hoped that the
Kbis Scholarship will help a rider who currently competes at an
intermediate level in showjumping, dressage or eventing. The lucky
winner of the Kbis Scholarship will receive £1500 sponsorship money
plus saddlecloths, rugs and other Kbis promotional wear.
Last year’s winner, Tracey Garside
was delighted with the sponsorship she received from Kbis and has
been providing a monthly
diary of her success on the Kbis website.
Said Tracey: “I have benefited greatly from the Kbis scholarship
scheme. When I heard the news that I had won it gave me a great
boost for this season. To know that you have some extra financial
backing to keep the show on the road really does help with your
confidence."
“I have been able to attend more
events and have more training especially in the spring in the run up
to the season. I am really enjoying promoting Kbis and keeping in
touch with the team.”
Said Guy Prest of Kbis: “We decided
to launch the scholarship scheme to put something back into
equestrian sports. It was a great success last year so we decided to
offer the opportunity again this year.”
“It is a real opportunity for a rider
to receive backing for 12 months and we hope that the financial
assistance will make a difference for the chosen scholar helping
them to rise up the competition ladder.”
“All Kbis staff have worked with
horses and several still actively compete. With this in depth
knowledge of horses and insurance we can explain what types of cover
are available and suitable for your individual horse. This allows
you to choose a policy to match your own particular requirements.”
Kbis was established in 1986 and has
now developed into one of the UK’s leading riding and competition
horse insurance specialists, as well as having a bloodstock
division.
