Leading equestrian insurance company, KBIS British Equestrian Insurance, is once again running a scholarship scheme which will search for the KBIS British Equestrian Insurance Scholar of 2008.
It is hoped that the KBIS British Equestrian Insurance Scholarship will help a rider who is competing at a novice to intermediate level in eventing. KBIS British Equestrian Insurance are current sponsors of the Junior Regional Novice (JRN) series with the Championship concluding this years’ series in October.
The lucky winner of the KBIS British Equestrian Insurance Scholarship will receive £1500 sponsorship money plus saddlecloths, rugs and other KBIS British Equestrian Insurance promotional wear.
Last year’s winner, Show Jumper Daniel Moseley was delighted with the sponsorship he received from KBIS British Equestrian Insurance and has been providing a monthly diary of his success on the KBIS British Equestrian Insurance website.
Said Daniel: “I have benefited greatly from the KBIS British Equestrian Insurance scholarship scheme. When I heard the news that I won it gave me a great boost for the year ahead. To know that you have some extra financial backing to help with stabling costs and diesel really does help with your confidence. I have been able to attend more shows and events and have more opportunities. I am really enjoying promoting KBIS British Equestrian Insurance and keeping in touch with the team.”
Said Guy Prest of KBIS British Equestrian Insurance: “We decided to launch the scholarship scheme to put something back into equestrian sports, and it has been a great success. It is a real opportunity for a rider to receive backing for 12 months and we hope that the financial assistance will make a difference for the chosen scholar helping them to rise up the competition ladder. All KBIS British Equestrian Insurance staff have worked with horses and several still actively compete. With this in depth knowledge of horses and insurance we can explain what types of cover are available and suitable for your individual horse. This allows you to choose a policy to match your own particular requirements.”
KBIS British Equestrian Insurance was established in 1986 and has now developed into one of the UK’s leading equine insurers covering riding and competition horses, leisure horses, bloodstock horses, dogs and cats as well as horseboxes.
