Dominic Waldron, based in Crediton, near Devon, took first place at Stockland Lovell (2) Horse Trials last weekend in the KBIS British Equestrian Insurance Junior Regional Novice Section. His win follows another excellent performance when he also headed the JRN section at Longleat.
Dominic (16) won on his 16.1hh chestnut gelding, Robbie IV finishing on their dressage score of 30.0.
Said Dominic: “It was a total surprise when I had found out I had won. It was totally unexpected to have a second JRN section this year. We’ve owned Robbie for just eight months and to win a JRN class already makes me really proud. I’m looking forward to the season ahead and hopefully we will move up to Intermediate level by the end of the year.”
