Dani Evans, based in North Somerset, secured first place at Pontispool Horse Trials in the KBIS British Equestrian Junior Regional Novice Section.
Dani won on her 16.1hh Dutch warmblood bay gelding, Dream Maker. With a good dressage score of 25.7 they completed the show jumping with just 4 penalties and the cross country time also added 1.2 further penalties onto their score. Dani and Eddy won the JRN section with only 1 point to spare.
Said Dani: “I have been so pleased with Eddy’s performance so far this season. I am aiming to carry on our successes by entering the Chepstow International Pre-Novice three-day-event in May. I have ridden from a very young age, and first started out at Mendip Farmers’ Hunt Pony Club with my ponies."
“I also have another horse that is coming on really well. He is 16hh and five-years-old; we have just started doing pre-novice classes with him this season.”
