Kbis Sponsored Rider - Tracey Garside's Diary

As part of our exciting scholarship scheme, our 2005 scholar Tracey Garside has been keeping us up to date with her busy life in the eventing world.

February 2006

An Exciting and Hectic February

We are now working towards the JAS final which takes place at Addington Manor in Buckinghamshire at the end of February.

I am really pleased with how well both Dunauger and Forget Me Not have been performing recently and I think they both have great potential. They seem to go better every time I compete them!

Forget Me Not did his first one day event at Osbaldeston, he was a bit green at first but once he was more settled he went like a dream. Dunauger has been doing plenty of dressage at medium level and I am really happy with the way he is going and his consistency.

After JAS is over I am taking both horses to a two day clinic at Aston le Walls, which is run by the EHOA (Event Horse Owners Association). Di Lampard will be there for the showjumping, Jenny Lorriston Clark for the Dressage and Nigel Taylor for the cross country so I am really excited to be going. Following this Dunauger will be starting eventing at Isleham in Cambridgeshire, followed by a trip up to another event in Lincolnshire.

I am a bit fraught at the minute as it’s half term and I am the chief instructor for the Pony Club so as well as the JAS final to work up to I am also busy teaching the little ones.

I’ll be back next month with hopefully some winning results from JAS!
