Kbis Sponsored Rider - Tracey Garside's Diary

As part of our exciting scholarship scheme, our 2005 scholar Tracey Garside has been keeping us up to date with her busy life in the eventing world.

January 2006

A Successful Start To The Year

The weather has been a bit kinder to us this month up in Harrogate which means we have been able to do lots of cross country schooling.

Competition-wise I am extremely pleased with our results this month. Both Dunauger and Forget Me Not had great success at a JAS event at Osbaldeston. Dunauger took third place in the OI which qualified him for the final. Forget Me Not also came sixth so he is also in the final, I am really pleased with the results.

We have also been to Richmond JAS just to get some more practice in. Here Forget Me Not took third and Dunaguer a second place so another pleasing day. Both horses are really on form this month and I hope they will do even better in the final.

We’ve got a pre event show jumping competition coming up at North Allerton and some team chasing competitions, and I am also taking the horses to an unaffiliated one day event at Osbaldeston which will be a first for Forget Me Not.

Belle, our new puppy is settling in really well. She loves travelling in the horse box which is a good thing as we seem to spending a lot of time in it!

Next month is the JAS Final at Addington so I will write in and let you know how I got on.

Until then, happy riding!
