Official Opening of new Equine Clinic

KBIS were delighted to support the official opening of the new equine hospital at the Bushy Equine Vets’ Breadstone clinic last weekend. The new hospital is one of the most advanced diagnostic and surgical centres in the UK, with MRI, CT, Scintigraphy, orthopaedic and colic theatres plus adult and neonatal intensive care suites, all under one roof. In addition it also boasts an on-site laboratory and separate isolation facilities.

Bushy Equine Open DayThe merger of Bushy Equine Vets and Willesley Equine Clinic to form the B & W Equine Group back in 2008 helped to facilitate these fantastic facilities. Clients of the practice now have the benefit of knowing, if needed, their horse can receive first class treatment without having to be referred. Yet still benefiting from that ‘local’ practice service, with the groups other three clinics, in Bristol, Cardiff and Tetbury remaining to provide excellent first opinion services.

The opening day on Sunday was a great success, with presence from Avon & Somerset Police, the RDA and demonstrations from professional riders. Which included event rider Alex Peternell, who jumped his young horse over shaving bales and a wheelbarrow! Visitors also enjoyed a tour of the new facilities and practical demonstrations that took place throughout the day.

KBIS have been working alongside Bushy Equine Vets for many years now to provide a combined insurance and health care policy for Bushy’s clients. The policy, known as the Bushy Equine Plan, provides a comprehensive insurance policy with a choice of cover options plus veterinary benefits from Bushy. Policyholders receive an annual health check for their horse, including routine tooth rasping if require, plus discounts on vaccinations and Equistro supplements.
