KBIS extend sponsorship to Young Riders
After numerous years as title sponsors to BE’s regional Open Novice series and Championships for riders under eighteen, KBIS are delighted to be extending their support to the British Young Rider squad in 2012.
The Young Rider programme offers a competition and training structure for riders between eighteen and twenty one aiming to represent Britain at Young Rider European Championship level. The British team have a significant record at European level, bringing home their seventh successive team gold medal from Blair Castle, Scotland (August 2011).
Mike Etherington-Smith said of the sponsorship: “After a longstanding relationship with Guy Prest and the team at KBIS, it is fantastic news to hear that they are increasing their sponsorship of Eventing to include the Young Rider programme, a system which has helped form the building blocks of success for so many house-hold Eventing names today. We and KBIS look forward to what promises to be a very special year for our sport across the levels.”
Guy Prest said: ''So many riders have progressed through the KBIS U18 series to havesuccess at young rider and then senior level, so to further our involvement within an area that offers such valuable training and support to our riders of the future is very exciting for us. We look forward to our association with the Young Rider Team and wish the squad the very best of luck in their preparation for and during the European Championships.’
This year the British Young Rider squad will head to the European Championships in Malmo in Sweden to defend their team gold title (10 - 12 August 2012). For further information on the Young Rider programme visit www.britisheventing.com/youutheventing
