Isabella Innes Ker Impresses at Hendersyde Park JRN

Isabella Innes Ker put on an impressive performance at Hendersyde Park Horse Trials, when she took the KBIS JRN section with over fourteen penalty marks between herself and second placed Emma Carmichael and Surely Valentine.

Emma was rewarded for being one of only two riders not to pick up any jumping or time faults on the show jumping and cross country phases, when she moved up from fifth place after the dressage into eventual second. However, it was not enough to have an impact on Isabella who led after the dressage on a very good mark of 20, putting her way out at the front of the section. Isabella then followed this up by producing the second and final faultless show jumping and cross country rounds, confidently taking first place.

This was Isabella’s second win within a month; the combination also won the KBIS JRN section at Eglington Horse Trials in July, in what is their second season together.

Isabella is no stranger to eventing as her father, the Duke of Roxburghe, hosts the popular International Scottish event Floors Castle, which is set in the magnificent grounds of the Roxburghe Estate and has been successfully running for over thirteen years.

There is now just one more JRN event to take place at Winkburn Park on the 28 – 29 August before the KBIS JRN Championships at Weston Park in October.
