Doris and Georgie are heading for Hickstead

KBIS Starlet (Doris) will shortly be faced with her biggest challenge yet, the Eventing Grand Prix at Hickstead on the 29 July.

The Eventing Grand Prix is always a hugely popular event at the Royal International Horse Show, a competition in which show jumpers take on eventers in a specially designed course that includes both traditional show jumps, cross country obstacles as well as the derby bank and Hickstead lake! Both Gary Parsonage and Pippa Funnell have won this event for a record three times, Gary, as the current reigning champion, is tipped as the one to beat.

This will be the first time that Doris will have to face such a big atmosphere but with her laid back attitude to life hopefully she will take it all in her stride - fingers crossed! It will also be the biggest track that she would have jumped to date with fences set at Intermediate eventing height, 1.30m.

The Royal International Show will be running from Wednesday 28th July until Sunday 1st August and includes a number of championship classes in both show jumping and showing.
