Showing Success

The National Pony Society Area 7 Show held at Addington Equestrian Centre last weekend on the 4th July saw KBIS staff member Kelly Gorman in the ribbons. Kelly not only took first place in the KBIS sponsored class, the NPS Mountain and Moorland Intermediate Working Hunter Pony but also then went on to claim the British Isle Working Hunter Champion and the Reserve Supreme Ridden title of the show.

Kelly was riding her mothers Llwynhywel Victorias First, who had already qualified for the Championships of the KBIS Mountain and Moorland Intermediate Working Hunter Pony back in April with Kelly’s sister Sarah.

This was only Kelly’s second competition with Victor and she has only been back in the saddle since May after having to take 5 months off from riding due to a hip operation.

Kelly will go on to take the ride of Victor at the Championships, which are being held at the Malvern Show Ground on the 4th6th August.

In between now and then Kelly and Victor will be heading to the Area 25 Show on the 13th July in order to try and gain their HOYS qualification and will then attend the New Forest show before their Championship debut.
