Two More Qualify for the KBIS British Novice Championships
Jonathan Egmore and Michaela Russell both had a successful day at The Jays Equestrian Centre when they gained their qualifying ticket for the Championships of the KBIS Insurance British Novice, which will be taking place on the 30th August as part of one of British Show Jumping's main events of the year, the Cushionbed Scope Festival at Stafford County Showground.
With just one more combination to jump Michaela was the current leader having jumped clear in a time of 41.88 seconds and 19-year-old Zoe Adams with Ridgeway Four Leaf Clover was clinging on to the second qualifying ticket with a clear round in a time of 42.89 seconds. Jonathan on board Temple Hardy had the slight advantage being drawn last to jump and made the most of it, shaving over a second of Michaela’s time to take first place right at the end of the class, meaning that Zoe would have to try and gain her qualification at one of the other five remaining regional finals.
