KBIS Bloodstock Insurance, Racehorse Insurance

KBIS Bloodstock Insurance Quote, Racehorse Insurance Quote - Horses at a raceKBIS has been offering Bloodstock insurance since 1984, when the company began trading. Our team has been recruited from the industry meaning that you will always be able to speak to someone knowledgeable about your bloodstock insurance. Our policy is specifically designed to provide insurance for racehorses.

What types of activity are covered by this policy?

Flat and Jump racehorses including point to point racehorses. Additionally, breeding stock and stallions (cover can be included for stallion infertility insurance) can be insured on KBIS’ Bloodstock insurance policy

What does the standard policy cover for?

The policy covers for ‘All Risks of Mortality’ with an extension to cover for gastro-intestinal surgery. This means that you will be able to claim under your bloodstock insurance policy if your horse dies, is killed or has to be put down immediately on humane grounds by a vet (your horse must meet the BEVA guidelines in order to meet the requirements for immediate humane destruction).

The extension for gastro intestinal surgery provides cover in the event that your horse colics and needs to be operated on by your veterinary surgeon (limits apply).

What other insurance for racehorses is available?

In addition to the cover above it is recommended you have a racehorse owners liability insurance. A policy covering public liability for racehorses means that you, as an owner, do not need to worry in the event that your horse injures a third party or damages their property.

If cover is required for public liability please indicate this in the free text comment box on the next page.
